Richard W. Crane, 82, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away January 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1930, in Hoopeston, Illinois, the son of Chancy Earl and Flossie Eunice (Parker) Crane.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy before graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington. He moved to south Florida in 1969 and spent 25 years with Carolina Aircraft Corp. in Ft. Lauderdale (later known as National Jets.) He then spent 15 years as President of Crane Accounting Services in Plantation until his retirement.
Richard was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his children, Jack Cripe and wife, Lois; Frank Cripe and wife, Sue; and Judy Waltz and husband, Allen; grandchildren, Duane, Paula, Cathy, Cindy, Pamela and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Laura, Amanda, Craig, Erin, Estelle, Barrett, Jack, Michael, Shari and Charlotte.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte on September 30, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
