Richard Carroll Ridenoure, 75, passed away on September 11, 2026, in Hollywood, Florida.
Born in Mountainburg, Arkansas, on January 22, 1951, Richard spent most of his career working in construction. He was known for his strong work ethic, never missing a day of work, and even built an addition onto the family’s Hialeah home.
He married Norma Guerra in November 1972 and remained a loyal husband for more than five decades. He was a devoted father and proud grandfather who would do anything for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Ridenoure; his son, Richard Edward Ridenoure, and daughter-in-law, Odayna Ridenoure; his daughter, Jennifer Ridenoure, and son-in-law, Todd Stricklin; four beloved grandchildren, Richard Ryan, Kyle, Demi, and Riley; and three step-grandchildren, Kelsie, Kolby, and Tanner.
Growing up in the country, Richard loved sports and later coached his children when they were young. He never missed a practice or a game. He remained a lifelong fan of the University of Arkansas, the Miami Hurricanes, and the Miami Dolphins. In later years, he enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and spending time with his family and dogs.
Those who knew him will remember a man who always seemed to have change in his pocket, cash in his wallet, and a pocketknife nearby, just in case. Quiet but quick with a joke, he was honest, dependable, stubborn, and deeply committed to the people he loved. The lessons he taught through hard work, integrity, and showing up for family will not be forgotten.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
