Tommy Williams & Mrs. Lannie Whiters Williams.
He was reared and guided in a loving Christian home and understood
the importance of the Lord early in life.
He was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church, Hollywood, FL, where
he became a member.
He received his education through Miami-Dade Public Schools. His
careers and experiences varied until he finally settled on a career that
he genuinely loved—Car Detailing. His love of cars led to his passion
for being the best detailer in town. And he was. The time and effort
that was put into each car allowed him to create a work of art. He
worked in this career (self-employed) for over 25 years until his health
began to fail.
Richard’s life was filled with the love of family and friends. This
could be especially seen in the relationship with his daughter,
Shontavia. They shared a unique unbreakable bond filled with love
and laughter—she is truly her father’s daughter. He possessed heart-
filled joy of a loving and doting grandson, Jacob, who daily shouted
out the words “I Love You, Granddaddy!” The connection between
uncle and nephew is priceless. He had two nephews—Amir and Alon.
They were known as Richard’s boys, not Lisa’s. He adored them and
cherished every moment that he spent with them—watching sports--”
Let's Go Heat!” Lastly, the love of a sister is undeniable and
everlasting. Memories of Lisa and Richard’s love will be forever
etched in their hearts. “I Love You, Superman!”
The friendships that Richard established were richly diverse.
Everyone loved him. He was well known and respected throughout
the neighborhood. He truly loved his friends like family.
