Robert Dorsainvil

Robert Dorsainvil, was the first born of Luc Dorsainvil and Marie-Therse Lacrte of Pétionvil, Haiti, fell asleep in death on January 28, 2017 at the age of 71, following a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Serette Milien-Dorsainvil; Two children, Regine and Michael Dorsainvil; Three grand-children; Three brothers, Fritz Lacrte, Jean-Claude and Maxo Ulysse; Two sisters, Jeanette Dorsainvil Janvier, and Paulette Ulysse Nelson; Two Step Children: Dan and Naomi Milien; Four nephews, Rony and Phillipe Janvier, Junior and Clevand Lacrte; One niece, Naomie Janvier Seraphin; His close friends; Earnst Sauveur, Jean Bernard Lafrance, Jean Robert Bertrand, and Ducarmel Bertrand, along with many sister/brother/daughter/and son in laws and thousands of spiritual brothers and sisters.

Born on September 22, 1945, Robert grew up in Pétionvil, Haiti in a rich spiritual environment provided by his father (Luc Dorsainvil) and his supportive mother (Marie-Therse Lacrte). In 1968, Robert relocated to the U.S (Brooklyn, NY) where he continued his spiritual path, which led him to dedicate his life to Jehovah God, and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 1st, 1970.

In 1989, Robert again relocated and moved to Miramar, FL, where he attended and served as a Ministerial Servant at Hollywood West Créole Congrégation. In the congregation, he was never too busy to interact with the brothers and sisters especially the very young ones because he loved children. Robert was also known as "Mister Fixer Upper", for if anything was broken, you can always count on him to volunteer to fix it; whether it is a car, kitchen sink, sprinklers, electronics, etc, you name it, he will tell you "I can fix it".

Unfortunately, In the early morning of Saturday January 28, 2017, Robert fell asleep in death remaining loyal to Jehovah until the very end. During the week prior to his death surrounded by his wife, his step daughter and couple of brothers, Robert mentioned that "Death is only temporary and Jehovah (the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him) God will remember his name in the book of remembrance". His family members, and his friends everywhere now have even greater incentive to continue steadfast in their service to Jehovah. It is their desire to be on hand to welcome back brother Robert Dorsainvil, along with countless other faithful ones in the resurrection. - John 5:28, 29, Revelation 21:3, 4.
