

Robert "Bob" C. Egan, born, July 14, 1926, in Maspeth, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Bob was the beloved husband of Evelyn St. Mark for 52 years. Evelyn passed away in 2002. He was a devoted, loving father, to son Thomas R. Egan, and daughter Eileen Egan-Hineline. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Mark, Erin, Shannon, MacCayla, and Emilee. Bob was the first to be a great-grandfather in the "Egan clan" to Maddox. Bob is also survived by his brothers Thomas, Donald, and Richard.
Bob retired from John Hancock life Insurance Company after 40 years of service. After retiring, Bob opened the Phoenix Preferred agency. He felt the phoenix was symbolic for rising from the ashes.
Bob was very loved by the St. Mark Catholic Church community in Southwest Ranches. He was one of the founders of the Men's Club of St. Mark, an active member of the community outreach ministry, and was always there to lend hand and share a smile with a fellow parishioner.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Fred Hunter's in Davie Florida on Thursday, March 8th from 6PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7 PM.
The funeral mass will be held Friday March 9th at 10AM at St. Mark Catholic Church 5601 South Flamingo Road Southwest Ranches, FL 33330. A reception will follow at Bob's Daughter's home.
