
Bob is survived by his brother Steve Halterman and family of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, sister Mary Green of St. Louis, Missouri, and son Rob Halterman, daughter-in-law, Crissy Halterman, granddaughter Hannah Halterman and grandson, Ryan Halterman, of St. Charles, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Joseph Sullivan, mother Edna Mae Halterman, step-father, George Franklin Halterman and brothers George, John, and Thomas.
Bob was born on September 4, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri to Thomas Joseph Sullivan and Edna Mae Sullivan. He was later adopted by his step-father, George Franklin Halterman. He served in the United States Army from 1959-1962. For years Bob owned and operated Best Moving and Storage in St. Louis. As a young man he designed and built his first sailboat, teaching himself to sail on the Mississippi river. After moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida he fulfilled his dream of becoming a yacht captain. Bob enjoyed his career and travels but most of all he enjoyed spending time and telling stories with friends and family.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:00am Thursday January 8, 2015 at Fred Hunter's funeral home in Hollywood, Florida. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob's life.
