

Roberto López-Boada passed away in his home in Hollywood, FL on December 3rd, 2021. Roberto was born in Santiago de Cuba to María Antonieta Boada and Roman López on December 17th, 1956. He was raised by his mother and stepfather – Jesus Núñez. He was married to Victoria Matskevitch on December 27th, 1988 in St. Petersburg, Russia and shared 33 wonderful years of marriage. Roberto earned his PhD degree from Saint Petersburg University, Russia in Mathematics and Physics. He devoted more than three decades to academic work in Physics and Mathematics, mainly at the university level. At the time of his passing, he was a teacher at Westland Hialeah Senior High, and an Adjunct Professor at Broward College. As an academic, he published more than 50 scientific research papers in peer‐reviewed journals and participated in more than 30 international conferences. His legacy will be continued by his children – Jesus Roberto, María, and Margarita, his two grandchildren Lorena and Lester, and his wife Victoria. He will be remembered by all whose life he touched – his friends, students, and colleagues. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 11:00am on Wednesday December 15th, 2021 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home and Cemetery on 6301 Taft St in Hollywood, FL. After the service, guests are invited to spend time in his home to share memories and celebrate Roberto’s life.
