ROCCO FRANK PALERMO, 80, of Davie, FL passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Rockie is survived by his wife of 60 years Margaret Palermo, his children Anthony Palermo (April), Maryann Lipman, & Mitchell Palermo (Jackie), his grandchildren Maryann Bransdon, Joshua Lipman, Lauren Bitteti, Zachary Lipman, Jordan Palermo, Tori Palermo, Anthony Palermo Jr, & Autumn Palermo, his great-grandchildren Georgia, Charlotte, Madison, & James Rocco. He was preceded by his parents Saverio & Frances Palermo and his sister Maryann Palermo.
Rockie was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved his family to Florida in 1973.
He served in the United States Marines, he was a Master Electrician, he served as member of the volunteer Fire Department in Commack New York, he was a proud member of the Gold Coast Gun Slingers, and a real cowboy at heart.
Rockie was "one of a kind" and one of the most giving people one could ever know. He had a sense of humor that was infectious, his love for food was overwhelming, and the love he gave his family will forever be in their hearts and carried on.
