

Mr. Rodney F. Jackson was born on September 3rd, 1961, in Hollywood, Florida to the late Curtis and Frances-Hayes Jackson. He attended Miramar High School and after graduation enlisted in the United States Army. Following his service in the Army, Rodney had an extensive career with the Longshoreman organization for nearly twenty years. At an early age Rodney dedicated his life to Christ and during his adult years became a member at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
Rodney was not only a veteran and served in the Army, but he was also a family-oriented man that loved spending time with his family. He was an avid bike rider. He believed in both personal and professional development.
On November 15th, 2022, Rodney ascended into heaven at the early age of 61. Rodney is preceded in death by his father Curtis Jackson, his mother Frances Hayes-Jackson, his sister Jill Jackson, his brother Eric Jackson, his sister Mae Stuart, and brother-In law Edward Darling.
Rodney leaves behind to cherish his fond memories, his son: Rodney Jackson Jr. (Kenyetta), his daughter: Shakina Jackson, brother: Curtis Jackson (Elaine), sisters: Laverne Jackson, Melanie Darling, and Monica Jackson-Moore (Vincent). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Ja’Kiyah Jackson, Ry’lah Jackson, Ty’Sean Mann and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Fred Hunter Memorial Chapel (Davie Location: 2401 South University Drive, Davie Florida 33324) on November 21, 2022, at 11:30 am. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.
