Roger was born in Minneapolis, MN, on August 2, 1936, the son of the late Corbett James and Lorraine (Morgan) Turner, and was raised and educated in Woodland, WA. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Alaska from 1955 - 1958 where he was discharged at Homestead Air Force Base. After his discharge from the Air Force Roger settled in the Miami area with his Aunt Joy and Uncle Ted Guyer. In 1960 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Miami, he was united in marriage to Paula Balser, a union of 56 years.
Roger was employed for 25 years as an Electronic Engineer with the former Eastern Airlines. He later ventured into the lighting business with his two sons and later he took a position as a Computer and Robotics Engineer for Jaeger Innovations. Roger was an active member of the Opti-mist Club serving as President of Scott Park .
Roger is survived by his wife, Paula; his sons and daughters-in-laws, Roger and Karla Turner and Michael and Susie Turner; his grandchildren; Brendan, Donovan, Tiernan, Darian, Stacey, Michael and Ashley; his great grandchild, Tristianna; his siblings; twins, Arnie and Jerry and twins, James and Jeannie and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was predeceased by his sister, Diane.
Roger's family will honor and commemorate his life on Monday morning, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 22094 Lyons Road, Boca Raton. For those wishing to make a donation in Roger's memory, please kindly consider donations to a charity or church of your choice.
