Upon graduation Ron worked for several engineering firms in South Florida and he eventually opened his own firm, Baier Consulting Engineers. In the mid 1990’s Ron joined the faculty of the Department of Construction Management at Florida International University, first as a adjunct then as an full time Instructor. Teaching was Ron’s passion. He loved FIU and each and every one of his students. He retired in 2018 and was granted the title University Instructor Emeritus. Ron was a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a member of MENSA. Ron was well liked by all of those that came to know him, and he will be greatly missed.
