My deepest condolences to the Constantine families. I knew Ms. Rosie when I was a young girl. I was blessed to call Simone one of my best friends at dance. Every single memory I have of competitions, recitals, practices, pizza nights, and anything dance related have Ms. Rosie in them. She was kind, generous, and always a friend to everyone. She never judged and met every single person with her warm smile. Strong and independent, you always felt safe and taken care of when she was around.  I can remember back to several instances when many of us girls did not have our moms in attendance. Rosie was there for all of us. She was our mom for the event. I know this time is difficult right now, but please know that your mother is living on in all of our memories and hearts. She was the kindest soul and our world is less without her in it.

To Chad, Simone, Renee and your respective Families, Thanks for sharing your Mom with us.  The news of her passing is still taking a toll on me. 

I met Rosemarie at St. Hugh's, where we instantly became Best Friends, we were only 10 years old.  We kept in touch after I migrated to the US in 1969.

 It was Mother's Day in 2020 when I received a message from Rosie questioning my identity.  I called her right away.  At this point, we had lost touch for 45 years.  One of the BEST days of my life.  The last time we saw each other was in the summer of 1975 when I was residing in Connecticut and she was visiting her Aunt in the Bronx (NY).  That day, our conversation lasted over 3 hours.   I found it incredible that she remembered the details.  So, fast forward to March of 2021 while visiting relatives, in Miami, we re-connected/re-united and had a GREAT 6 months of fun, picking up where we left off.   

Rosie had such a contagious energy.   Always loved her authenticity, her generosity, and her love for life and family.  I will miss her laughter, as well as our regular conversations.  She was also the fashionista for our generation. 

I'm SOOOOOOOO  grateful for having her in my life, and her memories will live on.

Rosie was a beloved cousin. I remember as a child cousins around my age looking at the older group of cousins (of which Rosie was apart) and thinking they were so cool, going to parties, wearing hot pants etc and having a good time. Rosie was always had a warm smile for me. I thought she was beauty inside and out. 
Years ago on a trip to Miami she took me everywhere looking for appliances. We laughed at everything on those trips to the mall: music, cars. So generous with her time. 
Was always nice to chat with her. She would often reach out when I didn’t. I will miss her laughter and our chats. Gone too soon. Rest in eternal peace lovely Cuz ❤️

To my dear cousin:

I have not fully come to terms with the death of my beloved cousin Rosie. There is so much to say about the wonderful person she was, like her infectious laugh, her sense of humor and loving personality. She loved her kids deeply and spoke of them all the time in our conversations, I have so much fun memories,like the time we both went to Disney World at 13 years old by ourselves . We often laughed about it saying times were so different then.  I will miss our talks on the phone .  We were planning on taking a trip of a lifetime to Asia. And she was so looking forward to it as was I.your presence will be missed . My deepest regards and sympathy to Simone Chad and Renee and the rest of the family. Cousin Rosie was like this flower. Always beautiful, she was the sunshine in a room Her smile,  her sexy beautiful eyes. Don't forget the "Gascoigne Look." That was enough to say "don't you dare". Now to make feel comfortable that million dollar smile said it all. Gone too soon. Rosie we love you, we miss you. Rest in peace my beautiful Rosie. You're now the angel heaven was missing.

Cousin Paul Gascoigne "not aunt Ariel son" it's me Uncle Des second bowy.  I laughed all day when you mixed us up and then realized I  was uncle Des son.

Rosie and I were the same age.  She went ahead by just two weeks being born on the 3rd and me on the 17th October. Our childhoods were deeply intertwined and being the same age, a lot of our childhood and teen years were blended together.  I spent so many weekends and holidays with her and dear Aunt Ruby in Harbour View.  
Our families are so interrelated that it was a seamless coming together on the Gascoigne and the Thompson sides. So even after Aunt Ruby passed, being related to the Thompsons as well, Rosie and I would be in constant touch. We traveled to New York together when we were sixteen to spend the entire Summer with Aunt Lyn, also my Godmother.  It was my very first trip overseas and we had a great time knowing New York and firming our relationship as friends and cousins.
Throughout our teen years, we went to parties together, especially when our cousin’s sound system Ecology Force was playing.   We even dressed alike and choreographed our dance moves.  Those were such memorable teen age years.
As we married and had our children, while we were not in regular touch, any communication at all would seem as if it was only a few days before that we have seen each other.
I am grateful that in the last several years of Rosie’s life, we were in regular phone call interaction. We agreed some months ago that during my annual winter break in Jamaica, Rosie would join me and my husband at our home in Stony Hill in 2026.  This was again repeated soon after her hospitalization and even during this last time, before her untimely passing.
This has been a truly devastating loss for everyone, and I pray fervently that our dear Rosie is at peace, pain free and living her best eternal life.  How one copes with a loss this deep or near is a mystery except though faith. I send all my love and condolences to Chad, Simone and Renée and their children.
Bye Rosie, till we meet again…and you will still be a little bit older than me…and wiser too.

See us here with Rosie and granddaughter Maddie at an Alicia Keys concert in Sunrise. I am now remembering as I write this,  it was Rosie who led a trailer load of cousins and friends to see Whitney Houston decades & long ago at the "Sportaturim". It seemed like that was in the boonies back then. Rosie is deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her. Ahh, Rosie, what a person you are! What a cousin! And for the kids, what a mother you have been to them.  I do not doubt that we can all write an entire book on the goodness, kindness, and unrelenting spirit of Rosie.  Rosie is that rare soul full of energy, positivity, humor, and charisma that is infectious and naturally absorbed by the people around her. It is tough to describe this loss. Very tough. My wife and I were recipients of Rosie's love and selfless generosity back in August 2023, when she unhesitantly responded to her friends Patricia & Sonia. Dearest Chad, Simone, Renee and family, my heart is broken at the loss of Rosie! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Rosie was the big sister I never had, and I looked up to her in the years growing up in Jamaica. I cherish the moments we shared, from her combing my hair to her encouragement of my artistic journey. She introduced me to my late husband, Steve and I am eternally grateful. I will miss our conversations that were accompanied by laughter!
