Rudra Bhatt was the beloved son of Dakshesh and Madhavi Bhatt of Miami Beach, FL. Born on August 24, 2001 in Miami, he was an honor roll student at Miami Beach Senior High School, a straight A student and a member of Student Government.
Rudra, an exemplary student was on his way to achieving well over 200 Community Service hours by mentoring Elementary Students at Biscayne Elementary School and volunteering at the local Nortellis Middle School library. He was an avid Chess player, Spelling bee champion and had numerous other academic achievements.
Rudra was a best friend, an exemplary student, a cherished classmate and most of all, a beloved son who was, even at his tender age, a role model to all who came to know him.
He was heading home on his bicycle after one his volunteering activities on a beautiful South Florida day in Miami Beach when he was involved in a tragic accident at an intersection. The Miami Beach and South Asian-Indian communities are devastated by his sudden passing.
A young and bright future, taken suddenly from our midst, leaves us with many questions and few answers. A shining light that beckoned the best in all of us; may his memories continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched.
We pray for peace to the departed soul.
