Russell C. "Rusty" Watters, Jr., formerly of Pembroke Pines passed away June 21, 2013, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was 78. Born December 15, 1934, in Miami, Rusty was a life-long resident of south Florida.
After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, Rusty spent most of his working life with one employer, Smith, Richardson and Conroy Meats in Miami. He started as a butcher, ultimately becoming a buyer. Rusty also worked with his son in law Tony at DOS Marine in Miami as a Marine Mechanics assistant. Rusty enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and with his canine companion, Munchkin.
Survivors include a son, Russell G. Watters; daughter, Paula G. and son-in-law, Tony D'Ippolito; granddaughter, Lindsey McAdams; grandson, A.J. D'Ippolito and wife, Susan; great-grandsons, Hunter, Travis and Trey; and a sister, Ruby. Rusty was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilna on February 25, 1999. Pops will be forever missed.
