As a child, moved to Hollywood with his family at the age of four, he remained a resident of Hollywood for sixty-five years. Survived by his husband and (37) year partner Remi Boivin, sister - Amelia Blake, brother - Anthony Scavone, niece – Bianca Blake, nephews – Christopher Scavone, Joseph Scavone, and Jonathan Scavone…. along with nine grandchildren from his siblings, many whom he taught private weekly piano lessons. Sal demonstrated musical ambitions at the early age of eight, eventually turning his talent into a lifetime career of entertainment and pleasure for those fortunate to be a part of his audience. Initially he provided a variety of music at beach hotels, clubs, and lounges, before directing his efforts to teaching. He worked for the Diocese of Miami for (40) years, playing piano, singing, and directing the choir at multiple weekend masses, along with providing the music for many funerals, weddings, and parties. Sal was also a music instructor for the School Board of Broward County, and also provided private music lessons for 15-25 students. We remember him in sadness, a man whose musical talent could light up the room with happiness, laughter, and soft serene music that filled everyone’s hearts with love. Sal’s presence will be missed, however his memory will be with us forever, and it will bring love and joy for all those who had the pleasure to know and love him. May God Bless You Sal!
