It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Salvatore "Sal" Squadrito. Born on September 7, 1938, in the beautiful town of Monreale, Italy, Sal lived a full and vibrant life until his peaceful passing on July 26, 2025, in Tamarac, Florida.
Sal was the beloved patriarch of his family, a cherished friend, and an integral member of his community. He is fondly remembered and survived by his loving sons John, Leon, and Jay, his dear sister Pierina, and brother Joe. Sal's presence in their lives was a consistent source of joy and support.
Professionally, Sal's passion and work ethic were the heartbeat of the family-run Italian restaurant that not only became a staple in its locality but also a testament to his dedication to tradition and excellence in service. Sal's talents in the kitchen were only matched by his ability to make anyone who walked through the restaurant's doors feel like family.
Sal's zest for life was evident through his love for soccer, which was his number one interest, and all other sports. His competitive spirit and love for the game were as infectious as his laugh, which could light up any room. Yet, as much as he cherished the sports field, it was the radiant smiles of his grandchildren that truly lit up his world, alongside the delectable cooking and fine wine of his beloved wife, which he always professed to adore.
Those who knew Sal can affirm that he was one of the friendliest individuals one could ever meet. His humor was unparalleled, a trait that endeared him to many and ensured that laughter was never in short supply wherever he went. Sal's ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, like a well-made meal or the thrill of a soccer match, was a lesson in savoring every moment.
As we reflect on his legacy, it is clear that Salvatore Squadrito's impact will be felt for generations. His warmth, vibrant personality, and the countless memories forged in hearts around him affirm that while he may have left this earth, his spirit will continue to live on through the love and laughter he left behind. Sal's story is one of love, family, passion, and the richness of a life fully embraced. May we all find comfort in knowing that he has found peace and carry forward his legacy through our own lives.
