My dearest Samantha, the hole you left in so many people's lives with you passing on to the next life is a testament to who you were. You were taken too early from us but in that short time, you've touched so many of us with your kind silence, listening ear, and benevolent heart. You were my first true love when I was just a teenager and you became my wife when I was a young man at the beginning of my military career. With that young love, we grew stronger in our love and we made our beautiful daughter, Anais. Although we were young, inexperienced, and scared, we poured all of our love into Anais with the strong belief that love will endure all. I'll never forget the beautiful memories we made together as a family and the emotion we felt together the day Anais was born. That is by far, the greatest blessing I've ever experienced with you. Our little girl misses you so much and keeps you in her thoughts and heart. I pray that you keep an eye on us from above as our guardian angel and help us be guided in this difficult time without you as we mourn you. I vow to be the best father I can be and not be too proud to ask for help from both of our families to raise our little girl. Your spirit will live on through the legacy you left behind in Anais. May your soul rest in peace.

Some angels come to earth to bring happiness, joy, and love to mortal beings. Sam you were born an Angel, an Artist a Horse Whisperer. At the same time through out your stay, you were a warrior. Combating mortal wars that so many of us would have lost so long ago.

Hey Sister!

We have so many fond memories. 

I remember you being such a savage on Halo (the original game) when we played on the old Xbox. I used to try so hard to get better I remember practicing for hours on end trying to beat you. I never did. Haha

I remember watching movies with you and the family. In particular, one that my brother and I were cracking up when we spoke of that day together. It was the musical "Phantom of the Opera" starring Gerrard Butler. I swear we were the only ones singing every word to each of the songs. 

I remember going to parks and gatherings and spending time with your beautiful family.  You introduced me to beautiful souls and I thank you and want you to know that I cherish all the moments we spent together. 

I want you to ENJOY Heaven. Give Jesus as many laughs as you gave us here in the world. And if there is ANYTHING that I could've or should've told you before you left was this..... I'll ALWAYS be here for your beautiful daughter and my niece. Anais is the biggest blessing you have left us. I promise and make an OATH that I will continue to love her and be with her through all of this and through ANYTHING in her life.

It's still hard accepting that this is real. My little sis was a kind, loving, & funny individual. I'll miss you tremendously.

Samantha was a precious gift to us all. She had the light of the Lord shine through her beautiful eyes and the spirit of an Angel. We were always amazed at her awesome talents; drawing, painting, photography, gaming, riding horses. She loved creating new things that brought joy to others. She was a dedicated child of God who loved her family and would do anything for them. In the short time she was with us she taught us to persevere, to love life and to love eachother eachother unconditionally. Family was everything to her. We love you Sam. You’ve left a legacy that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace sweet Angel.

Sam my sister from another mister, you were a bright light in many people’s lives, you had a contagious smile. Your kindness surpassed all understanding. You were the type of person that put other people’s needs before yours. You introduced me to the world of horses, you helped me overcome fears I had when I was around horses, you always said the horse will mimic what you feel so don’t be scared, show them who’s in charge; approach them with confidence and love and they will reciprocate. When we used to go horseback riding it was my favorite time, it was nothing but laughs and the sound of hooves on the asphalt. Those are some of the best moments of my life. Nothing else mattered in that moment, we were both present and no matter what either of us were going through in that moment, life was total bliss. I will miss my riding partner. I learned about the healing power horses have through her eyes. When we were at the barn doing lessons, the children that we helped, didn’t feel judged by them, they felt loved and accepted and in turn that gave them the confidence they needed and made them feel a part of.  A lot of them came to the barn with the inability to speak and when they allowed the horses to love them, many of them said their first words. They were touched by the unconditional love that they offer. Sam was like a horse in many ways, honest, loving, confident and loved those around her unconditionally. She left us a great legacy. God has promised us that if we accept him, we will have eternal life and will see our loved ones again. I invite you to accept him as your lord and savior in order to be reunited with her again. The scripture says in John 5:24: "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." My sweet Sam this is not the end of our friendship, it is just a temporary pause until we meet again. You will forever have a special place in my heart, thank you for everything you taught me. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you.
