March 17, 1963 – June 15, 2025
With profound sadness and eternal love, we announce the passing of Samuel Ramos Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on March 17th, 1963 in Brooklyn New York. Sam was a proud graduate of Passaic High School, Class of 1981, and later continued his education at William Paterson University. His life was a testament to hard work, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to family. He was a man of many talents and wore many hats throughout his life – most notably that of a trusted Construction Consultant at Garth Solutions and, previously, an accomplished independent contractor with expertise in concrete, waterproofing, and project management. His hands were skilled, his words were trusted, and his work ethic unmatched.
To those who knew him best, Sam was so much more than his career. He was loving, kind, funny, wise, honest, generous, and deeply selfless. A man of faith, he lived guided by humility and gratitude, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. Known affectionately as “Handy Man Sam”, he truly was a Jack of all trades, a fixer not just of things, but of spirits.
Samuel found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep passion for fishing and gardening, tending to his plants with the same care he gave his family. His love for music filled the home with warmth, and his lifelong enthusiasm for sports—especially the NY Jets, NY Knicks, NY Mets, and Brooklyn Nets, and never missed a Sunday without watching Formula One. In his younger years, he excelled in both baseball and football, carrying that same competitive spirit and camaraderie throughout his life.
Above all, Sam was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife Michelle Ramos, his cherished children Damiana Marie Ramos, Samantha Inez Ramos, and Vaughn King; his dear sisters Lillian Chevere and Elsie Delgado and his six grandchildren, whose lives he lit with laughter, guidance, and unconditional love.
To know Samuel was to know laughter, love and the power of a well-told joke. He was a man who could light up a room with his presence and leave a warm impression on the hearts of those he met.
Samuel Ramos Jr. lived with heart, served with purpose, and loved without limits. His memory will forever live on in the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the stories we’ll continue to share. May he rest in eternal peace.
A public visitation for Samuel will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Maurice at Resurrection Catholic Church, 441 NE 2nd St, Dania Beach, FL 33004.
