Sandra Waddington

Sandra Waddington Fernandez, age 40, was welcomed in the arms of the Lord Sunday, September 18, 2016, after putting up a strong and courageous fight against cancer. Sandra was born May 13, 1976 in Barrancabermeja, Colombia to Reinaldo Fernandez and Lucila Gomez.

She was a 1994 graduate of Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School. She married Ryan Waddington on December 31, 2010 in Las Vegas. Two years later, on December 31, 2012, Sandra welcomed her beautiful baby girl, Madison.

In 2005, Sandra worked at Great Florida Bank as a Senior Ambassador. After giving birth to the love of her life Madison, Sandra decided to stay home in 2013, to share all the special firsts with her beautiful daughter. While this was by far her favorite job, in 2015, she went to work at Continental National Bank as the executive assistant to the Chief Operating Officer.

Sandra loved life to the fullest and always had a bright and beautiful smile on her face and kind and encouraging words of wisdom for everyone. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her husband Ryan, daughter Madison, father Reinaldo, mother Lucila, brothers Julio and Nicolas, sister Estefania, sister-in-law Sherry, stepmother Amparo, stepfather Alfonso and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Sandra's last wish was that in lieu of flowers, we continue her fight against cancer by raising money for pediatric sarcoma research at Miami Sylvester Cancer Center where her Oncologist is one of the leading doctors for this rare and aggressive cancer. A Memorial Mass will be held for Sandra, Saturday, September 24, 2016. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Sandra are invited to join us at 1:30 pm at Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic Church, 8445 NW 186 St., Hialeah, FL 33015.
