

He was born on June 2, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Peter and Grace Giliberti. Santo was know to family and friends as either Sonny or Tom, mostly. After graduating from New Utrech High School, he entered the United States Coast Guard and served honorably during WWII. After his discharge, he was the owner of New Jersey Bric-Face, Inc. and was very successfull; going on to create several other businesses during his career. He retired to his beloved Florida some 40 years ago and for the last approximately 20 years, lived at Point East Two Condominiums in Aventura.
Santo attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church in N. Miami Beach and had a faith-filled life. He was also a very patriotic man and was thankful for all of the many services provided to him by the dedicated and caring staff at the Miami VA Hospital.
His family would like to thank the staff and care providers at Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Hospicare during the last months and days of his life.
Santo was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Joseph and his sweetheart, Marion Hallenbeck along with a number of other beloved family members and friends.
Surviving him are his son, Thomas J. Giliberti (Jan) of Kansas; his nieces Dolores (John) Hemming and Chrispina Giliberti, his nephews, Peter (Susan) and Joseph Piccione, plus many other beloved extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to any Veteran's group or the SPCA.
