Sarah A. Chappell

Born to Marcus Craig & Anna Rochelle Sigman, October 22, 1929. Sarah spent most of her childhood helping her father in his mechanic shop in North Carolina. Sarah was married to William Hix Chappell in 1948 and they raised three children, Evelyn, Billy & Debbie.

Sarah loved animals, cooking/baking, gardening and bird watching. She would pick weeds in the garden for hours on end, with a smile on her face the whole time. She loved spending time with her grandchildren & great-grands.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Craig & Anna Rochelle; her husband Bill Chappell; her sisters, Virginia & Eva Maie; daughter, Deborah Ann; and grandchild, Bradley.

She is survived by her children, Evelyn & Billy (wife Susan); her grandchildren, Rochelle, Danny (wife Lacey) & Christi (husband Joey); her great-grands Demorris, Kianna, Kaylee, Haylie and Tyler; and soon to be great-great grand (still in the oven). On her sister’s side, Skipper, Susan, Bobby, Annie, Judy, David, Betty, Nancy, her sister Elizabeth Fisher, Eddie (wife Janet), Linda, Lisa and Heather.

Sarah will be remembered forever, for her kind compassionate, yet fighting spirit, infectious smile and laughter; and will be missed so much!

Services are Friday, August 12, 2022 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home; located at 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, FL 33024. Viewing is 12:30 – 1:30pm, with the service to follow, 1:30 – 2:30pm.
