Sharon Kay Dawson, 47 of Sunrise, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born on February 26, 1967 in Piqua, Ohio and was the daughter of Bob Dawson of Sunrise, Florida and Doris Dawson of Piqua, Ohio. Both Survive.
She graduated in 1985 from Piqua High School and worked as a caregiver to a few people. She continued to take classes at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio and started working at Upper Valley Medical Center (Troy, Ohio) and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University on December 13, 2003. During the late 1980's Sharon moved to Florida where she began working at Mercy Hospital in Miami and Saint Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach before joining the staff at Plantation General Hospital in Plantation, Florida.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sara. In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by 3 brothers. Richard (Lori) Dawson (Piqua, Ohio), Donald Dawson and James (Dina) Dawson (Broward County, Florida), nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend Ann Charleus.
She was a hard worker and a very dedicated mother to her daughter Sara. She loved her colleagues, patients and friends (too numerous to name). Sharon was loved by all that came into her presence and will be greatly missed.
