Sharon McKinney

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 25, 1940, daughter of William R. and Delphia J (Deaton) Bay.  Sister to Joseph Madison Bay and Barbara (Janet) Depew. Raised in Oklahoma City, Sharon graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma. She started bowling in 1958 through 2015. She loved to go to all the Women’s Bowling tournaments every year with her bowling friends.  She won many awards and trophies.

Sharon met her husband, Lester in April of 1956 at a skating rink in Oklahoma City.  He was the skating instructor and she had come to the rink with friends.  They were married June 13, 1957, in Miami.  Sharon retired from Bellsouth (AT&T) after 37 years working as Administrative Assistant.

Survived by her children, Karen McKinney, Timothy (Laurie) McKinney, Michael (LeeAnn) McKinney, Bonnie (Charles) Orlando and Sherrie (David) Nemetz, her (23) Grandchildren, Ashlie Rolfe, Zachary (Liberty) McKinney, Samantha (Derek) Rogers, Ryan (Allyson) McKinney, Brandon (Bobbie Jo) Birge, Amanda Boinott, Amanda (Travis) Morey, Megan (Danny) Boliek, Jodi Thompson, Matthew (Alexa) Orlando, Kristina Higgins, Michael (Rebecca) Nemetz, Bryan (Kaley) Nemetz and Nicholas Nemetz, her (21) Great Grandchildren Alec, Dominic, Brantley, Malakye, Austin,  Carter, Autumn, April, Summer, Brandon Jr., Khristian, Juliet, Daisy, Violet, Wynn, Jayden, Emberly, Robbie, Kambree, Camdyn, and Cohlsen, her (3) Great-Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her oldest grandson, C.J. Orlando on December 10, 2004, her loving husband Lester on August 24, 2014, and most recently by her oldest son, Raymond on March 23, 2024.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 25th from 1:00 P.M. ~ 4:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood.  Funeral service at the funeral home will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Robert Sands officiating.
