Sherifat Ibijoke Orukotan answered the Lord's call on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
She was born at Kenta in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on May 2nd 1946 to Mr. Abudu Ademefun and Alhaja Senabu Ademefun. She is survived by her husband Dr. Tony Orukotan, whom she married on April 4, 1969; Four siblings: Akeem, Waide, Wale, and Ramota; Five children: Afolabi (Gbemisola, spouse), Abimbola (Oluwafemi, spouse), Olubukola (Akinbiyi, spouse), Oladotun & Oladapo (Chevany, spouse) and seven grand-children: Oluwafemi, Oluwakemi, Olayemi, Olatunde, Zariah, Olubusola, and Nevaeh.
Sherifat, affectionately known as "Ms. Sheri", was a hardworking, loving, generous and determined woman. She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and devoted Christian. She had a huge heart and a gift of treating and accepting people as her own family. She taught many of us the true meaning of unconditional love and had a way of making everyone feel special.
She was an inspiration and truly one of a kind. She will deeply be missed by all of us and the world has forever been changed the day it lost one of its brightest shining stars.
