A lover of life, a leader and above all a survivor. She dedicated her time, energy and spirit to those she loved. She shared her personal journey of recovery inspiring more people than she could have ever imagined, not only as a counselor but also as a friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Joseph Stannis, her devoted parents Sandra, Robert, MaryJo and Jerry, her beloved children, Brooke, James, Kenny, Joey and Kim, her loving brothers and sisters, David, Barbara, Christopher, Jesse and Monique and her grandchildren who were the light of her life,
Dakoda, Dominic, Katie, Kyle, Lexie and Daron. A memorial service will be held at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Chapel on Saturday October 12th at 2:00 PM. Family and friends may gather to remember and celebrate Sherry's life beginning at 12:00 PM. She will be missed dearly by her loving family and her faithful friends in her support group will always remember her leadership and loyalty. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
