Today, as we stand united in grief and in love, we are here to celebrate the life of Stacey Sil-va, my sister, my bestie. We shared so many wonderful (and not so wonderful) memories. We laughed together, we cried together and most of all we prayed together.
Stacey was born on August 9, 1977, in Long Island, NY and was called to be with the Lord on October 19, 2024.
She is outlived by her precious babies, Gabri-ella Rose Silva (“Honey”) and Sebastian Alex-ander Silva (“Handsome”). Gaby and Sebas-tian, know that you were her pride and joy. Mami loved you with all her heart and soul. Her greatest desire was that you serve the Lord, as she did.
She is also outlived by her parents, Sergio Sil-va and Lydia Perez; brother, John Ayala; niece, Christina Ayala; great nieces and nephews, Joshia, Javel, Jocelyn and Jayla; nephew, Dan-iel Ayala; godson, Jayden Rodriguez; and lots more loving family.
Stacey was quiet and kept very much to her-self but was always there for those who need-ed her. She would give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice.
In October of 2021, Stacey began a battle for her life; first with Covid and then Leukemia. She fought like a warrior. Always trusting in God and in his process for her life. Her love for Him never faltered.
Today the Perez and Silva Families gratefully thank everyone, for your support and prayers.
We also thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for having allowed us to have Stacey in our lives for 47 years.
Down here, our bodies have been weakened by sin, but in heaven all that will be behind us because by His death and resurrection Christ conquered all sin, sickness and death.
The Bible says that in heaven Christ “will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body”. Philippians 3:21
Stacey told me, “When I am at the table, at the banquet with Christ, I want to look around and see my family at the table.”
These words will resound “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” – Mathew 25:23
The Broken Chain , We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Feliciano Perez Jr. (1986)
Feliciano Perez Sr. (2001) , Nancy Perez (2008) , Lorenza Perez (2012)
Stacey Silva (2024).
