Sylvia Soogrim Maharaj

Sylvia was born in “Coco Catch” Forest Reserve, Trinidad to the late Mr. and Mrs. Boodoosingh on November 15th 1936.  She went to school at Fyzabad  A.C School, she married Soogrim Maharaj on August 5th 1956. Sylvia was a business owner of Sylvia’s Variety and Soogrim’s Tailoring Est.

Sylvia is preceded in death by Spouse, Soogrim Maharaj. Daughter Angela Lyman. Brothers, Bachan, Deoraj, Sonny-Boy, Garlo and Doogoone Boodoosingh. Sister Meena Suchak. Daughter in law Gena Maharaj and great grandson Liam Bridgnauth.

Sylvia is survived by Sons, Saisnarine, Sastri and Shivaan Maharaj, Daughter Asha. Son in laws, Jadoo, Kumar. Daughter in laws, Kay and Ramona. Brothers Deonarine, Rupert, Lal and Ramnarace. Sister in law, Shirley Jaikissoon. Grand Children Hema, Kimmy, Stephen, Sarika, Amrisha, Aumkar, Visheash, Avanna, Anala, Amrit, Varun and Vinod. Grand Mother in law of Lenny, Evana, Richard, Navin, Great grand children Aiden, Lianna and Ellie and Aunt of 32.

Funeral services will be held 9:30am on November 2nd 2023 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024
