Sylvia Martinez was born on August 30, 1937 in Cienfuegos, Cuba to Juana Marina and Manuel Penelas.
She moved to Passaic, NJ at the age of 17 with her husband in 1954. In 1979 she moved to Miami, Florida with her husband and daughters. She worked as an office manager at a physicians office until retirement.
She is preceded in death by several loved ones Manuel (father), Juana Marina (mother), and Manuel (Manny) her brother.
Sylvia is survived by her beloved husband Jose (Pepe) of 63 years, her children Jackie and Orestes Ordaz, Lisa and Jerry Patricio and Michelle Pulido. Her grandchildren Alex Ordaz, Janessa Ordaz-Ford, Andrew and Matthew Patricio and Alyssa Pulido. Her great grandchild Robinson Ford.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24 at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33024 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
