He was born to Victor B. Khaleel and Mary Mahfood Khaleel, and was the third of five children. He was predeceased by his oldest sister, Paulette Khaleel. He is survived by his brother, Victor B. Khaleel Junior, and his sisters, Gretana Khaleel and Suzanne Black.
Tyrone was the devoted managing director of his family’s business, Khaleel’s Deep Sea Fishery in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended Saint Teresa Preparatory School and graduated from Saint George’s College, after which he went directly into the family business, working alongside his father. After migrating from Jamaica to Florida in July 1977, he co-founded a custom furniture business with his sister Gretana, which evolved over 48 years into several successful furniture ventures, most recently the Murphy Bed Sleep Shop in Hollywood, Fl.
A man of deep faith, Tyrone was centered in Christ and lived his entire life with steadfast dignity, honesty, and integrity, never straying from his principles. As a devoted and hardworking businessman, he earned the trust of his customers throughout his 48 years serving South Florida. He was a true peacemaker who exuded love to everyone around him. His greatest joy was his family, he was married for 55 years to his beloved wife Constance, whom he lived to make happy. Their marriage was a true example of loyalty and commitment with a deep unwavering love for each other. He poured his whole heart into loving his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
An avid horseman in his youth, Tyrone and his father imported thoroughbred racehorses from Ireland and shipped them back to Kingston, Jamaica, where many of them went on to win races at Caymanas Park. He also loved fishing, boating, and water skiing on the family yachts.
He is survived by his loving wife Constance Khaleel, daughters, Julie Ann Marie Urbaez and Giselle Walton, son in law, Jason Walton, six grandchildren — Rolando Rosa, Sierra Urbaez, Isabella Urbaez, Raquel Rose Walton, Blake Walton, and Brooke Walton — and three great-grandchildren: Dylan Rosa, Olivia Rosa, and Rolando Romeo Rosa Junior.
The family of Tyrone Victor Khaleel would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to all family, friends, and loved ones who have poured out their love, support, and prayers during this very difficult time of our profound loss. Your kindness and comfort have meant more than words can express.
