Umberto Melino

Umberto Melino was born in Siracusa, Sicily, to Francesco and Sebastiana Melino on January 8, 1930. He married Natalia Difede on December 26, 1953, in Siracusa, Sicily. He worked as an underground cable splicer for Northeast Utilities for over 30 years. He served in the Italian Navy.

Umberto Melino is preceded in death by his son, Carmen Melino.

Umberto Melino is survived by his loving wife, Natalia, of 72 years. Loving children, Frank and Trisha Melino, Anna and John Genovese, and grandchildren Michael and Kristien Melino. Nick Melino and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Noah and Leah Melino.

The family of Melino wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his main caregiver, Natali, who gave such great care and love for so long. Catholic hospice for their guidance, compassion, and care. For Umberto and our family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Hospice.

A visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024, on August 20, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

A religious ceremony will take place at St Matthew's Catholic Church, 542 Blue Heron Dr, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, on August 20, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A graveside service will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens East Cemetery at 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024, on August 20, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
