Venecia Pena

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday May 5, 2025 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home located at 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33024. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be on Wednesday May 6, 2025 @ 2:00 p.m. at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 630 Taft Street Hollywood, Fl. 33024.

Venecia Peña was born in the Dominican Republic on May 3, 1946. To parents Arcadio Valle and Socorro Valle-Rojas. Venecia was married to Ignacio Peña for 51 years until his passing on June 27, 2019. Venecia lived and worked in New York for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and as a caretaker for many years before retiring to Florida with her family. Her passion was to be constantly surrounded by her family.

Venecia is survived by her sons Frank and Alex, daughter-in-laws Lucia, and Jill, grand children Alex, Gianna, Dylan and A.J. She is also survived by her sisters Socorro, Louisa, Josephine, her brother Juan and many other family and friends.

We will miss her smile, her unwavering support, her kindness and above all her love. We wish to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences.
