Verna was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 9, 1935, to John and Anna Kram.
She was the youngest of 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Verna met a handsome sailor, Jay Roberts from Miami, and fell in love. They married and moved to Miami to start their family; they were married 55 years until Jay's death in 2010.
Verna worked many years in Dade County Public school cafeteria, preparing and serving food to students. She loved working in her garden, doing ceramics, keeping her house clean and taking care of Jay and her two sons, John and Gregory.
Verna is preceded in death by her husband Jay and son John, her sisters Deloris (Bill), Mildred (Jim) Therma (Henry), Sis (Ray), brother Andrew (Rose) and George (Ethel).
Verna is survived by her son Gregory and daughter in law Cary,
Grandson Anthony and Granddaughter Jennifer (Jose)and Great Grandson Aaron.
