Victor L Hing

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Lyew Hing, who peacefully entered eternal rest on August 31, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Chai Sang and Edith Hing, Victor was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was defined by hard work, humility, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to family. He grew up in the Mountain View community of Kingston before immigrating to New York and later settling in South Florida, where he helped his mother and younger siblings establish their lives in the United States.

In August 1981, Victor married the love of his life, Elaine "Maizie" Lee. Together they built a loving home in Miramar, Florida, raised three children, and shared more than 43 years of marriage rooted in faith, love, and devotion to family. Elaine preceded him in death in December 2024.

Victor spent many years working at Publix warehouse, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic before retiring early. Gifted with a remarkable ability to fix almost anything, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.

A quiet and humble man, Victor led by example. He was a loving father and grandfather, a trusted mentor to his siblings, and a steady source of wisdom and support to those around him. Whether fishing, attending car shows, or gathering with family, he found his greatest joy in spending time with the people he loved.

Victor was one of nine siblings and is survived by his brothers and sisters, Paul, Olive, Angela, Ruth, Mark, Richard, and Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel, and his parents, Chai Sang and Edith.

He is also survived by his children, Susanne (Maurice Harrell), Christopher (Tatjana Keeley), and Stephen; his cherished grandchildren, Gabriella and Matthew Harrell; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, his legacy of love, kindness, wisdom, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service celebrating Vic's life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cooper City Church of God, with interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in believing that Victor has been reunited with his beloved Elaine and is now at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Together again, forever in our hearts.
