I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Lawson family and would also like to share something with you. Our Creator is the God of all comfort and love. He did not intend for anyone to pass away that is why his Son gave this promise at John 5:28,29.

RESTAll the stories have been read, the monsters chased away. Our trips to the lake, the beach, and the zoo were memories made for a lifetime. We got home, a little sunburned, very tired but happy, content and none the worse for wear. Your job is done, rest Momma, rest.All the lunches have been made, dinners cooked, dishes done, and laundry washed. We never went hungry, and always had a bed for a good night's sleep in a house where we were safe and loved. It was never the taj mahal or 5 star dining, but we never lacked for anything, especially a stern word or gentle hug exactly when it was needed. Your job is done, rest Momma, rest.You have been to every performance, every award ceremony, and whether we were very good or not so much, your smiling face was the first thing we all looked for and it was always there. We are home from every class, game, practice, stockade, awana , brigade and youth group meeting. Every school trip has been paid for, every homecoming float has been made and all of our friends wonder how we have such cool parents. Your job is done, rest Momma, rest.Through graduations and weddings, you were there to be a part in any way you could. Special dinners and cakes, envelopes filled with as much money as you could and all the love in your heart. Your dresses were never expensive, but you were always elegant and proud. You were there until the last guest left, taking care of the little things we were "too distracted" to attend to. Working hard so that all of our shared special days were not just special but spectacular. The smile on your face, the tear in your eye and the way you would squeeze Dad's hand taught us all more than you will ever know. Your job is done, rest Momma, rest.Having been through it many times before, your expert advice was the voice of reason when the grandchildren started to come. They all found that special, comfortable place on your lap that we all had many years before. All the car pool lines have been waited in and afternoon snacks eaten. All babysitting and sleepovers were so successful they all think your guestroom is their room. All the presents have been opened and Easter eggs found and Grandma's house isn't a separate location, it's an extension of home. Your job is done, rest Momma, rest.You have been a daughter, a friend, a wife, a sister in law, a mother, an aunt, a mother in law, and grandmother in a way that has been a shining example to us all. You have taught us all how to be better brothers and sisters, wives and husbands, mothers and fathers, members of a family, and all around better human beings. You have touched our lives and the lives of those around you in ways that are everlasting.As the time comes for another generation to make its way into being, your work will continue , but you need not worry. You have done your job very well. We love you with all of our hearts. Momma, it's time to rest.
