

He graduated from Jamaica School of Agriculture in Spanish Town and worked as an agricultural instructor for western St. Mary.
He met, and later married Norma Joyce Gordon on April 8, 1962. Their union produced three children; Michelle, Michael, and Dwight.
To facilitate their children's early education they moved to Kingston. During this period, Walter became one of the top salesmen for Jamaica Mutual Life Insurance company. Their home on Milverton Crescent was always open and welcoming to family and friends.
However, the lure of the land beckoned, and drew him back to his roots - farming. The large farm produced bananas for export. Sometime later, he was persuaded to enter the political arena and, in 1981, became the mayor of Port Maria Parish Counsel in St. Mary. Additionally, in later years, he grew cucumbers and other winter vegetables for export.
After joining his family in the United States, Walter went back to school and became a respiratory therapist. He worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital until he retired.
Walter is preceded in death by; his parents Vincent and Bernice Brady. His brothers; Sedley, Lee and Rupert. His sisters; Gloria, Jacqueline and Kay.
Walter is survived by his wife Norma, children; Michelle, Michael(Celia) and Dwight(Ingrid). Grandchildren; Matthew, Michaela and Joshua. Brothers; Oswald and Harold. Sisters; Valrie( Joy) and Claudette(Bess), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and beloved friends,
