

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1924, son of Walter and Rose (Wisniewski) Olszewski. Raised and educated in Sharpsburg, PA; Walter enlisted into the United States Navy during WW II at the age of 21. He was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2 stars, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
In March of 1953, Walt moved to South Florida and began a long career with Eastern Airlines. He retired as a Senior Analyst in Air Routing. A devout catholic, he was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew Church in Miramar.
Survived by his son, Keith (Nancy) Olszewski, grandson, Jared T. Olszewski, sisters-in-law Mary Olszewski and Marian Olszewski and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Bernadine "Bernie" T. Olszewski on February 17, 2006.
Visitation on Friday, AUGUST 11th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, AUGUST 12th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 8005 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, 33025. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3001 North 72nd Street in Hollywood.
