William "Bill" Lea, 91, formerly of Hollywood, Florida passed away Feb. 28, 2014, in Gainesville, Georgia. Born July 23, 1922, in Vermont, Illinois, Bill served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, Bill worked for Gerber Foods for a few years. He then joined Milani Foods and remained with them for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Society for Hospital Food Service Administrators.
Bill was a Hollywood resident until moving to Delray Beach, then to Boca Raton. He lived in Gainesville for the last two and a half years.
Survivors include his son, Bill Lea and wife, Klari; daughter, Leslye Lea; granddaughter, Ashley Lea; step-daughter, Marcie Padia and step-grandson, Daniel Padia.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy on Dec. 22, 2012 and a step-daughter, Diane Warnke.
Visitation is 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home with Pastor Dennis Glick officiating.
