William Michael Lord, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, following a five year courageous battle with cancer, at Memorial Regional Hospital South, under the care of Trustbridge Hospice He was 55 years of age.
He was born in Penndel, Pennsylvania on November 7, 1959, son of William Orval and Mary Ellan (McAllister) Lord. He and his family moved to Brigantine, New Jersey where Michael was raised and educated.
In 1990, Michael moved to North Miami, Florida and later to Fort Lauderdale. While living in South Florida, he was a former surveillance director for Vegas Express, Sea Escape and Sun Cruise Lines. He later worked as both a dealer and floor manager at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, the business he had been in for 35 years. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed working on anything electronic.
We all loved him and miss him so!! May he be at peace with the Lord. "Now there is another angel above us".
Survived by his loving mother, Mary Ellan (McAllister) Lord, brother, Paul Lord and his wife, Jean Lord, nephew, Jeff Lord and his wife Nobuko Lord, nephew, Michael Lord, two nieces, Amy and Meghan Lord. Also survived by his longtime friends, Jeff Savoia and Janet Bennett and his Cairn Terrier, Buddy.
At the request of Michael, there will be no services planned.
