Yvonne Marcano

Yvonne Marcano, 66, of Sunny Isles Beach passed away unexpectedly October 19, 2015, at her home. Born August 17, 1949 in the Dominican Republic, Yvonne moved to the United States with her family as a young child. She moved to Florida from Demarest, New Jersey in 1986, living in Plantation for many years before moving to Sunny Isles Beach. She was a devoted mother and wife, who instilled her faith and traditional values in her family and those around her.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 40 years, Luis; her children, Luis A. Marcano; Lisette Kaplan (Elliot) and Christine Myers (Donald); grandchildren, Abigail, Isabella, Mikayla and Nathan; her mother, Maria Curet; brother, Joseph "Joe" Curet (Wendy); sisters, Mary Curet and Mercedes Iocco (Joseph); 6 brothers and sisters-in-law in Venezuela; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Armando Curet.

Visitation is 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Fred Hunter's Downtown Ft. Lauderdale Funeral Home, 718 South Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale 33316. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually.
