Billy was born December 16, 1933 in Guthrie, MO the son of Reed and Virginia (Clay) Trammell who preceded him in death. In 1951, he graduated from New Bloomfield High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1953-1955.
In 1960 Billy was united in marriage to Donna Roberts and to that union three children were born. Two daughters, Shelley Marquart (Mike) of Washington, MO and Kelley Trammell of New Bloomfield, MO; One son, Jeff Trammell (Lonna) of Ashland, MO. His significant other, Jan Elliott survives at their home in New Bloomfield, MO.
Billy retired from the State of Missouri Office of Administration as a Telecommunications Consultant in December 1995. He was a member of Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie, MO, Safari Club, New Bloomfield Lions Club, where he previously served as president and the New Bloomfield Masonic Lodge. He loved to hunt - especially deer, playing poker with his friends, going to Capital Speedway and in recent years rarely missed a gun auction. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
In addition to family members mentioned above, survivors include: two grandchildren, Brooke Trammell of Fenton, MO and Brady Trammell of Ashland, MO; one brother, James Trammell (Donna) of Holts Summit, MO; sister-in-law, Louise Trammell of New Bloomfield, MO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Buchta and one brother, Donald Trammell.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Marion Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Dry Fork Cemetery with full military honors.
