Dorothy Goldie Wade, 94, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on October 26, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Dorothy was born August 30, 1923 in Wyandotte, Kansas to Louis and Lily High Shadwick who preceded her in death. She was married in 1940 to Willis Wade and he preceded her in death. She attended New Bloomfield High School and enjoyed staying in touch with her class mates. She loved to dance the Charleston, cook, travel, work in the garden and taking care of her Dachshund dogs. Dorothy worked on her family farm raising Hereford cattle before working for several years for the United States Department of Agriculture. She was a member of the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church and served as the President of New Bloomfield P.T.A. at the time when the school lunch program was started. Dorothy was also active in 4-H and leadership in the Missouri Hereford Association and the Missouri Jr. Hereford Association. She is survived by sons, Ralph (Karen) Wade of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Leroy (Sally) Wade of New Bloomfield; daughter, Louise Wilson of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren, Dori Hill of Centralia, Missouri, Jim Hill of Millersburg, Missouri, Parish Wade of Denver, Colorado, Stephanie Blair of Centralia, Natalie Pigliacampo of Boulder, Colorado, Megann Matero of Longmont, Colorado, Madeline Vandergrift of Springfield, Missouri and Hannah Mountain of Moberly, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Samuel Vandergrift, Derek Moore, Cheyenne Moore, Ryan Blair, Alex Blair, Joseph Pigliacompo, Ava Pigliamcampo, Charleigh Matero, Brooks Matero and Ellis Matero. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lily; foster brother, Jim Green, grandson Jeffrey Hill and great granddaughters, Taryn and Abigail Wade. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Missouri Humane Society in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
