An Open House for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at New Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Lester was born November 26, 1938 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Daniel and Mary Rodden Brockman who preceded him in death. He was married to Carol K. Lawson on November 22, 1963 in New Bloomfield and she survives.
Lester was a 1956 graduate of New Bloomfield High School and he served in the United States Army Reserves after his graduation.
He was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and had worked for KRCG-TV, Delongs, Missouri Highway Department, Ameren, and Callaway Hills Horse Farm.
Lester was a perfectionist who enjoyed welding projects such as making crosses for churches across the state and a Big Bird that keeps watch on Lake Mykee.
Survivors also include his brother, James (Carol) Brockman of Holts Summit; sister, Minnie “Sally” Davis of New Bloomfield; brothers-in-law, Dale (Bonnie) Lawson and Larry (Linda) Lawson of New Bloomfield; nieces and nephews, James D. (Roxy) Brockman of Jefferson City, Steven Brockman of Holts Summit, Mary Kay (Harold) Seymour of New Bloomfield, John (Beth) Davis and Joe (Trista) Davis of New Bloomfield, Michael (Renee) Davis of Holts Summit, Dawn (Allen) Glick and Dalene (Randy) Baker of New Bloomfield, Dezra Lawson of Fulton, Eric Lawson of Tebbetts, Heather (Jarrad) Vandergrift of New Bloomfield, Sean (Carie) Lawson of New Bloomfield and very special friends Ed and Candy Ambrose of New Bloomfield; many other loving family members and his loyal dog, Kelli.
He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, William Davis.
