Mary was born on April 6, 1918 in New Bloomfield, MO the daughter of Sexton and Nellie (Link) Young who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on June 4, 1939 in Mexico, MO to Charles “Skeet” Hale who preceded her in death on January 13, 1996. She was a faithful member of New Bloomfield First Christian Church and also a member of Meadow Lake Golf Club. She worked for Missouri School of the Deaf in Fulton, MO for 10 years supervising children. Mary enjoyed golfing, gardening and traveling with her husband, Skeet where she met and acquired several friends.
Survivors include: one niece, Pat Cooper; one nephew, Mike Cooper; a cousin, Kenny Link and several good friends and neighbors, Don & Joann Smith, Lee & Margaretha Keeney, Nip & Nancy Neidert and their son, Andy Neidert. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Young and a close friend, Doug Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home, 10920 Old Hwy 54 North, Holts Summit, MO. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
