Bill was born on October 2, 1939, to the late Joseph Maylee and the late Vivian (Blankenship) Maylee.
He was united in marriage to Nora Ann (Sloan) Maylee on September 1, 1962; she preceded him in death on June 8, 1999.
Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, bluegrass music, and his beloved ’54 Chevy truck. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He graduated from Iberia High School and went on to earn his degree from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. He worked for many years as a machinist, and after retiring, he and his wife Nora purchased a semi-truck and spent years traveling the country together as a team truck drivers.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Bruce Maylee, Dale Maylee (Carla), Denny Maylee, Darryl Maylee (Lisa), and James Maylee (Lori); his 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Debo Funeral Home, 10920 Old Hwy US 54 N, Holts Summit, MO 65043, with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Summit Memorial Park, 10920 Old Hwy US 54 N, Holts Summit, MO 65043.
