

A lifelong resident of Preble, he was born December 23, 1969 the son of Howard J. and Charlotte Metcalf Morgan. Dale graduated from Homer High School where he was a wrestler.
He was employed at Pall Trinity Micro, Cortland for several years and for the past 30 years had been a significant part of the success of Denny’s Mountain View Restaurant in Preble. Dale worked tirelessly, and expected nothing in return, at many pig roasts, the New York State Fair, bartending, whatever was asked of him. He had also been previously employed as a bridge painter.
Dale was a member of the Preble Recreation Commission and softball coach, he was a longtime and avid Harley rider and was Vice President of the Seven Valley Pool League.
He is survived by his loving children; Jacklyn Kay Morgan of Preble and Corey Matthew Guyder of Lafayette; his mother, Charlotte Metcalf Morgan of Preble; a sister, Rosemarie A. (Eric) Wright of Liverpool; four brothers, Edwin J. Morgan of Groton; Steven L. Morgan (Cindy Bush) of Preble; John H. (Cindy) Morgan of Preble and Dennis J. (Terri) Morgan of Scott. Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews, Danielle, Courtney, Melissa, Tonya Marie, Amber, Cassie, Chad, Morgan, Marques, Mya, Holly, Jeremy, Krystal, Julie, Rachel and Alexandreah; great nieces and nephews, Gabriella, Bryant, Kolbe, Ayden, Madison, Justin and Lyle and his best buddy, Trixie.
Dale was predeceased by his father, Howard Jack Morgan and by a sister-in-law, Brenda Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Preble Congregational Church, 1953 Preble Rd., Preble, NY. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Preble.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 North Main St., Homer.
