He was born January 19, 1921 in Brooklyn, a son of the late Paul and Emilie Siegle Hafl.
Les faithfully served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy.
He retired from the New York City Transit Authority, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic.
Survived by three children, Emily Marie Williams, Lester T. Hafl and Curt A. Hafl, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Hafl was predeceased by his wife Mary T. Hafl in 2003.
In keeping with Les' wishes there will be no services.
