

He was born in Oxford, on September 15, 1919 a son of the late Clay and Hazel Ingraham Fleming.
From 1942-1945 Millard served his country in the United States Army during World War II, serving in the Tenth Army 3040QM CAR Co. in Hawaii.
Millard’s life was his farm in Bainbridge, working until the age of 85 when he was forced to retire due to his failing health.
Surviving is a brother, Dewitt “Sam” (Alura) Fleming of Guilford; two granddaughters, Shannon L. (Robert) Roman of North Syracuse and Shawn L. (Adam) Davis of Moravia; son-in-law; Randy Luther of Venice Center and brother-in-law, Richard DuBois of Oxford. He was known as ‘Grandpa Grandpa’ to Jonathan A., Jacob M. and Jordan A. Stephenson and Elijah F. and Bethany L. Davis.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Sandy Young and Candy Luther; five sisters, Thelma, Dorothy, Wanda, Helen and Elsie and a great grandson, Joshua M. Stephenson.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10:30-12:30 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer.
Graveside services, with Military Honors, will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery, 110 Tompkins St., Cortland with Pastor Matthew Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Millard’s name may be made to the Howd Nursing Home Activity Fund, 7 Keeler Ave., Moravia, NY 13118
