

He was born September 1, 1940, in Auburn, to the late Vincenzo and Sadi Barbagallo Tabone.
He was a 1959 graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Auburn and attended Auburn Community College.
In 1961 Rocco enlisted in the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1965.
He was employed by NYSEG for 30 years, working out of the Auburn, Liberty, Walton and Ithaca offices, before retiring in 1995.
Following his retirement, Rocco and Dianne, enjoyed winters in Inverness, Florida and summers on St. Lawrence River at Thousand Islands, NY. . He also enjoyed boating, bowling, golfing, playing cards, watching television and lunch with friends.
Rocco was a member of the American Legion and the Walton Lions Club.
Surviving is a son, David Tabone and wife, Rosemary of Homer, NY; daughter, Carrie Reome and husband, Jack of McGraw, NY; sisters, Carmella Bove and Lena Tabone, both of Webster, NY; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Dianne K. Skillett Tabone predeceased him on January 17, 2008 as well as his brother, Michael Tabone.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer.
