Born and raised in the Princeton/Homestead area, Wilbur was 90 years old. Prior to Hurricane Andrew, he had his own crop dusting business and he flew for many of the local farmers. In his early years, he had served as a pilot in the Army Air Corp and had an electrical business in Perrine, FL. Left behind are his second wife, Jean Gosnell Peeples, his daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Kyle Wingo, and 3 grandchildren. His son, Bruce Peeples, preceded him in passing, as did his first wife, Eleanor Stoy Peeples.
