Born on November 29, 1929, he was son to Siguard and Birdie Lundstedt and brother to Jim and John who are probably chasing him now and still can’t catch him!
He leaves his loving wife Yvonne, who was by his side until the end along with sons Bert and Jack who he taught how to hammer, fight fair, and pray mightily and Daughter-in-law Diane who taught him chicken and dumplings are better to eat than old bologna any day! He will also be missed by his step children Sue Barnes and Steve Underwood. He leaves seven grandchildren who loved their Papa and twenty great grandchildren who did not have nearly enough time with him.
He was known as “Bobby” he was the “Triple Threat” for his Bay County High school Football team in 1949. He could pass, kick, and run like lightening! After hip, knee, and shoulder replacement- along with being run over by a truck- he laughingly called himself the “Cripple Threat” but could still “juge” and get around you if he was not’t ready for his bath.
He was an avid golfer, (could have been a professional) tennis player, (he beat everyone…it was his tennis court) diver, and fisherman known for riding sea turtles back to the boat. His square dancing was legendary…he could twirl a girl like no other.
He was a mail man, fireman, barber, farmer of fish and fruit and the owner of a lot of good dogs. One pot belly pig, one snot nose horse and a crow named Henry. Plus a plethora of other exotic animals from rattlesnakes to raccoons and one vicious squirrel.
His greatest pleasure and treasure was his family who will miss him forever but will tell and retell his stories for generations to come.
His sons invite you to a celebration of his life on June 7 at 10:00a.m with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m at Branam Funeral Home followed by love and fellowship at his home in Paradise Homestead.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
